Alphatonic Reunites as The Heed 1 night, 3 songs, 4 dudes, 08.01.08 True story. We're getting back together for Owen Sartori's CD Release Party. This is a twice in a decade event. So be there. Seriously, Owen is a pop mastermind, and we're behind him all the way. Come see good music. And here us suck right before it starts!
Old NewsAn oxymoronic posting area >>>6/27/08 Proof that I'm not as lame as they claim. Yeah, yeah, it took long enough. But, here's a little sumptin' for the effort. If you check the Sample Tray, you'll see a brand new song. This is a song Timm and I wrote together a while ago, but due to technical difficulties in the studio, is just finally seeing the light of day. There's one more song yet to show up from the Alphatonic v1.0 efforts. This last song is still being held hostage by technology. Once I replace some more gear, I should be able to shake it loose for y'all to check out. In the meantime... >>>9/15/06 As the Kool Aid guy or Macho Man Randy Savage would say, "Oh Yeah!" I finally get around to updating the site a mere 6 months after the last update. Keep your hands clear kids, the speed with which we're turning out innovations around here is enough to render you triplegic! Nah, I'm kidding, it has been really slow. Let me rephrase that more honestly: I have been really slow. Molasses slow. Old person with a walker and hearing aid slow. Passing a bill about gay marriage slow. I mean SLOW with a capital OW. So, I'll not blow smoke up yer skirt ('less you want me to. Send an email with the subject "up skirt") this time with the whole "Oh, I'll have a new CD out in a week" crap I've been boring you with lately, but I will ask you to bear with me while I finish mixing the last two songs intended for release on the site. I'm really close. Really, I am. If you stick with me for that long, I will consider letting you in on my little plan for world domination from the comfort of my underground lair... >>2/1/06 I had some bullshit up about how I'd have more songs out in a few weeks. That was 6 months ago. So, I'm just going to paraphrase all that crap down to: Nothing to see here, folks! >>12/22/05 Thrashing and gasping for air, Alphatonic emerges victorious against a technological insurrection in its very own studio! It's true, our hardware tried every trick it could muster to try and stop us from ever seeing the light of day, but we prevailed. The result? We gots treats for y'alls! Just to prove that we feel bad about the delay, we've got an offer you can't refuse: A free track to check out. It's a remake of an old Heed tune, but you'll find a twist or two. It's our way of saying "This is how we roll now bitches, it's delicious!" >>6/1/05 Timm and AC have decided to separate their creative endeavors. This obviously changes a few things...but what, remains to be seen. AC will be the sole engineer on the Alphatonic train, though several songs will be released under Alphatonic's name with Timm on vocals. Alphatonic will continue to evolve and change into what it was meant to be all along (whatever that is), we hope you'll stick with us for the ride. It'll be a wild one. >>3/1/05 The studio has been crippled for several months now, causing a horrendous screeching noise as work halted. We're working to get it back on it's feet so we can get back to work. More as info as it becomes available. News Break! I don't know if it's global warming, the perceived acceleration of time due to asymptotic aging syndrome, cockroaches in the clockwork or what, but WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY SUMMER??? Seriously! I remember thinking to myself (In June, 3 months ago), "Self; summer is finally here. You will make the most of it and do all sorts of great things like drink beer at the beach, play sports with some vague athletic value, camp, throw frisbees, smoke pot in parks, stay up all night during the week because the weather is awesome, damn the torpedoes!" And now, as I'm working on the ass-groove in my couch and waiting for fucking SEPTEMBER to bare it's ugly, foreboding head, and I can't help but feel like I've somehow played a game of hide-and-seek on myself, only I forgot where I hid. It's a terrible feeling, probably similar to what the elderly feel like when they spend several hours looking for their dentures only to realize that they're actually in their mouth. Man, I don't even know what to do with myself. If you find me running around in December with a Sapphire Tonic, wearing burmuda shorts and a wife beater, you'll know I'm reclaiming what's rightfully mine. |
